Race weekend in Bristol

Getting six people to Bristol for a race weekend usually means two hotel rooms at opposite ends of a hallway, a parking lot that empties at the same time as everyone else's, and nowhere to sit down together once the day is over.

Buck Rock Farm is the other option. One cabin, one crew, fifty acres of private land, and a short drive back to the track in the morning.

No front desk, no shared hallway, and nobody else on the property.

From $400 a night
3 nights minimum stay
Sleeps 6 3 bedrooms, 3 baths

One cabin, one group. We do not book the farm to more than one party at a time, so the whole fifty acres is yours for the weekend.

How far is Buck Rock Farm from Bristol Motor Speedway?

Buck Rock Farm is 14 miles from the Bristol Motor Speedway gate, under 20 minutes by car, on the Virginia side of Bristol.

That is close enough to make a morning session without leaving before sunrise, and far enough out that you are not sitting in speedway traffic every time someone wants to run to the store.

Hands down the BEST location to get anywhere you need to be for Bristol TN or Bristol VA, or any of the top things to do in the area.

3 bedrooms, 3 baths, sleeps 6

A whole cabin, not two hotel rooms

The cabin is a 3-bedroom, 3-bath log home that sleeps six. Three full baths matter more than people expect when six adults are getting ready for the same green flag.

There is a full kitchen for the crew that would rather cook than eat out twice a day, and 500 Mbps WiFi for anyone who has to check in with work between sessions.

Outside there is a fire pit, a porch, and mountain views in every direction. That is where most of the weekend actually happens.

What race weekend looks like here

Coffee on the porch while the valley is still quiet. Drive in, park, spend the day at the track.

Then come back to your own place instead of a hotel lobby. Cook, sit by the fire, argue about the last twenty laps, and do it without a stranger in earshot.

Mark the calendar

2027 race weekends at Bristol

The NASCAR Cup Series runs at Bristol twice in 2027. The spring weekend is April 9 to 11, and the Bass Pro Shops Night Race returns to its late summer slot on the weekend of August 12 to 14.

April 9 to 11 Spring Cup Series weekend
August 12 to 14 Bass Pro Shops Night Race

Both weekends fill up across the Tri-Cities well ahead of time, and there is only one cabin here. On-track times and tickets are on the Bristol Motor Speedway site.

The track runs more than races

Bristol Motor Speedway keeps a full calendar outside the two Cup weekends. The cabin is the same 14 miles out whatever brings you to town.

  • NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals. Three days of drag racing in June at Bristol Dragway, right next to the speedway, and the event most likely to have you staying over.
  • Country Thunder Bristol. A multi-day country music festival on the speedway grounds. One of the guests further down this page stayed here for it.
  • Speedway in Lights. A drive-through Christmas light display around the track from mid-November into early January. Most people come out for an evening, though the cabin is open through the holidays.
  • Battle at Bristol and one-off events. College football, concerts and dirt track weekends turn up on the schedule some years.

The location was very convenient to restaurants and Bristol Motor Speedway but felt remote. The beds were very comfortable and would definitely stay here again if in the area.
